You need a Mobile Number and an Email Id (Both active) to complete the Application process, so ensure that you have one before proceeding.

Get scanned your passport (PP) size photograph and Signature in JPEG/JPG format. Make sure that Photo Image should be less than 100kb and Sign less than 50kb in size. You will be asked to upload the Photo & Sign while filling up the Application.

To apply for the USET you have to pay the Fees first.
Complete the application process after paying the Fees and take the print out of confirmation page.

Provide your actual and verified personal and educational details. Upload your latest photograph.
Do review your Photo, Sign, personal and educational details before final submission of the Application.

When you finally submit the Application (after paying the Fees), a unique Registration Number and Password will be assigned to you and communicated to you through SMS and Email service immediately. Keep it safely as the Registration Number and Password would be required for further Login instances thereafter.

FEES

The Examination Fees including processing fee are as under -
For General Candidates - Rs.900/- (Including form Processing Fee)
For S.C./S.T./P.H./V.H./O.B.C.( Non-Creamy Layer) - Rs.500/- (Including form Processing Fee)


The examination fees should be paid by Online or by Cash through Challan at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI). The candidate must keep the print of the application form and candidate’s copy of Challan/Fee receipt with them.Keep viewing this Website for latest updates and information.

ELIGIBILITY
The candidates must have Master’s Degree recognized by U.G.C. Candidates having Post Graduate diploma/certificate awarded by Indian University/Institute or Foreign degree/diploma/certificate awarded by the Foreign University/Institute should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their diploma/degree/certificate with Master's degree of recognized Indian Universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi (www.aiuweb.org)
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC and State Government are eligible for this Test. The Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer / Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Persons with disability (PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test. Such candidates must complete their P.G. degree examination within one year from the date of SET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in USET.
The candidates who are studying in the first year of two years Masters Course or in first two semesters of a four semester’s course of Master’s Degree are not eligible to appear for this test.
Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying (final) master’s degree examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible to apply for the SET Examination. Those candidate who clear SET Examination will be issued the certificate after they have passed their Master’s Degree examination or equivalent examination with at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH/VH/OBC Non Creamy Category candidates) and submit their P.G. Mark sheet within one year from the date of declaration of result of the SET examination.
Candidates can appear for SET in the subject of their Post-Graduation only. The candidates whose post-graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects in item No. "C", may appear in UGC NET/CSIR NET.
Candidates should note that their candidature is provisional. Their candidature will be deemed final upon verification of eligibility condition with reference to the documents enclosed with their application or as may be called for, from time to time.
To apply for the SET there is no upper age limit.
The SET agency will not issue any mark sheet or rank list to qualified/not qualified candidate. Also no revaluation of papers is allowed for SET Examination. The SET Unit will issue certificate to qualifying candidates only.

SC/ST/PH/VH/OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates must enclose attested copy of their certificate and the latest valid non creamy layer certificate (not older than one year.) in case of OBC. The certificate must be in candidate’s own name only. The candidates will be considered as GENERAL Category if they do not produce Caste Certificate and the latest non creamy layer certificate released by Uttarakhand Govt. along with the application form & will not be considered for the benefit of relaxation in marks and fees.
